Primary Health Care team consist of highly skilled staff that include:

Nelson Mandela University students and official student visitors.
 
 

Trauma / Emergency Medical Care

Trauma or a traumatic injury is a term that refers to physical injuries of sudden onset and severity that require immediate medical attention. 
Emergency Medical Conditions refers to a medical condition manifesting itself by sudden or acute symptoms of such severity (including severe pain) that a person need immediate medical attention by: 
 
  • Placing the health of the individual in serious jeopardy;
  • Causing serious impairment of bodily functions; or 
  • Causing serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part.

Sexual & Reproductive Health Services 

Sexually transmitted infection

  • Care include examination, diagnosing, treatment and referral as needed.
  • Prevention through health education, condom education and distribution, and partner treatment
  • Pap smear (with recurrent STI’s and suspicious looking cervix)

Acute Illness

Acute care is a branch of health care where a patient receives active but short-term treatment for a severe injury or episode of illness, an urgent medical condition, or during recovery from surgery.

Acute illness care include examination, diagnosing, treatment and referral as needed.
